Honda Xr200r. January 1 1982. HONDA XR200R. CYCLE WORLD TEST. It's a Serious Enduro and Super Play Bike. Big isn't necessarily better, especially in enduro competition. Unless you are built like the new Tarzan, an open enduro mount mired in mud up to its axles and wedged between six or seven competitors quickly turns from grin to grim.

The 84 & 84 XR200R's had a scaled down version of the XR250R RFVC motor (Dual carb, 4 valve, 4 port) They produced more power and improved throttle response than the 2 valve engines, but are generally less popular due to issues with overheating, cracked heads, difficulty in obtaining parts and are arguably troublesome to tune.

Selling my 1984 Honda Goldwing. Have owned since 2005. Had over $2500.00 in work done last season to keep the bike in very good condition including new rear spline gear, new rear brake (caliper, rotor, etc), new fork seals, new fuel pump. I also had two new tires put on on last season. The bike has approximately 59,000 on it.

The Honda XR series is a range of four-stroke off-road motorcycles that were designed in Japan but assembled all over the world. Some of the XR series came in two versions: R and L. The R version bikes were enduro machines designed for off-road competitive riding. They were fitted with knobby off-road tires and were not always street legal.

The 4 strokes are smoother, quieter and more reliable. Having owned several Hondas in past, I found a 1984 XR200R. This bike has the RFVC engine (Radial Four Valve Chamber). It's a great design. The spark plug sits in the middle of the valves like a hemi design engine allowing for a very even spark / explosion in the chamber.
