I have a similar brake controller solution that does work with the emergency braking system of your 2019 Ford Ranger with the P2 part # 90885 and the diode kit part # 7865 but Redarc doesn't have a diode kit yet to allow the Tow Pro Elite part # RED44FR to work. This controller will work a lot better than any OEM controller for sure.

After struggling with installing a brake controller on a 2019 Ranger ( hard-wired it ). I finally found the EASY install. The 4 wires are on the left side above the driver's wheel well near the kick plate. The wires are taped to the larger harness with a light blue tape. The Violet wire is the brake wire. White is ground, blue is to trailer.
