If you put big fat turbos on a 3.5L and spun it out to 6500-7000 rpm, like a 5.0 can easily do, you would probably have a higher HP number than Torque. Most 3.5L fall flat before the HP-Torque curves cross at 5252 rpm unless you have some really large turbos or leave a lot of torque on the table at lower RPM.
