The official scale for ATS is 1:20 and for ETS2 it's 1:19 (EU)/1:15 (UK)/1:3 (cities). But the time is also scaled. In fact, in a little experiment I just did in ATS, it appears time is scaled based on how fast you move. In can't really wrap my head around this. But what is the actual scale of the game then?

#1 J4MESOX4D Dec 29, 2018 @ 9:08am Map scale is 1:20. The time in cities is actually scaled down to almost real time in places. I think it's also reduced for things like weigh stations also. Otherwise it's pretty much 1 minute every 3 seconds on highways as you say. #2 lfeickert Dec 29, 2018 @ 11:06am Thank you both! Good feedback.

There is a story, I've been told, About a place that's very old, A place that only few have seen, A place where you have never been. And in this land, I'll have you know, It seems to always ever snow. There must be something in the air, A kind of magic everywhere. There's fun and laughter to be had, And no one there is ever sad, Especially with the time at hand! Behold, it's.

Time Scale #1 by bobgrey1997 ยป 15 Aug 2017 07:17 I am working on a map mod that is 1:1 but a major issue with that is the time scale. At current, the time scale progresses about 1 minute every few seconds, but on a 1:1 map it will need to progress 1 minute every minute. I have an idea for this:

This week The Mechanic discovers all the tricks American Truck Simulator uses to recreate the grand American west.. And the game is designed to emphasise that expanse in the way it represents time: just as the world exists at 1:20 scale, time also proceeds at twenty times normal speed. That way, a driver can easily experience a red sunrise.

We're very excited to make a big announcement, but first we need to give you a little backstory. Back when we were beginning research work on American Truck Simulator, just a few months after the release of Euro Truck Simulator 2, SCS Software was a team of about 20 people. We made, and kept, a commitment to actively support and expand ETS2, so the core team on the ATS project at thatpoint was.

This mod, change the time of ATS to scale 1:1 or 1:19 (two options) so that time passes slower. Does not change the map scale nor expand the map, only modifies the time in the game. Inside the file Winrar come two mods, one for the scale 1:1 and the other for 1:19 scale. You only need to activate a mod, the two mods at the same time not. Enjoy !!!

1:1 :^) #1 DanielHall15 Jul 5, 2015 @ 12:22pm I'm afraid it looks like the scale will be much much smaller. In the gameplay video from January, there is a long segment from Bakersfield to Fresno on what should be State Route 99. In three real minutes, the game clock advances by 104 minutes. That gives about 1:35 for scale.

We are ready to show you our progress at the American Truck Simulator map rescale project! Some places could still benefit from additional love, but the pieces of the puzzle are already in place, and now we would appreciate your feedback. Please keep in mind that our goal was not to completely rebuild the whole world, so set your expectations accordingly.

In Euro Truck Simulator 2, the in-game map is represented at 1:19 scale (1:15 in UK), and in American Truck Simulator, the in-game map is represented at 1:20 scale outside of cities and likewise, the day/night cycle advances quickly outside of cities, depots, and most rest stops. This means that one in-game minute lasts about three seconds and thus you can estimate the amount of real time left.
