Toyota RAV4
#1 · Jan 30, 2019 I bought a 2015 Rav 4 with 38,000 miles on it a few months ago. I have been very pleased. Until yesterday. The check engine light and the AWD light came on at the same time. I have searched threads all over the place and saw that it could be as simple as a loose gas cap. I tightened it, no luck.

GuruMHTZP answered 3 years ago. If the gas cap is not on properly the Engine Light and AWD warning will come on. After the gas cap is put-on properly both indicators will go off; however, you have to drive the car for several days (don't know exactly how many miles} before it goes off. 35 people found this helpful.
