This is a tough loop using fire trails and bush tracks around Gold Creek Reservoir in the western suburbs of Brisbane. The route can be done in either direction and is an excellent choice for Brissie locals looking for a good fitness challenge. The trail has some good bits of climbing and descending. You will likely find the trails in any varying overgrowth stage, with high grass and some bush.

The Gold Creek Reservoir in Brookfield is a lovely 5.5km circuit walk around the reservoir through forest and scrub, with small streams, lantana & dense bush in parts and wildlife such as finches and noisy minors.
