So, it is true that at one time Ford owned a 10% (approximately) stake in Cummins. But Ford has since sold that stock off, and no longer holds a stake in Cummins.

They never had a majority ownership, and did not buy it for anything but a business venture. They bought it and sold it simply to turn a profit. They sold that stock a long time ago.its probably been 10 years since ford had that stock.
