The first 800-1000 there certainly were some weird shifts and down shifts (As mentioned so in the owners manual) . I have been noticing lately it is really getting smooth as the mileage increase. For 2018 the 10 speed will be standard with the 2.7 EB, 3.5 EB and 5.0 V8. Only the base non turbo 3.3 V6 gets a 6 speed for 2018. The 6 speed has been an outstanding and reliable unit.

The 10 speed is actually a really good transmission. It is so widely used that statistically, it will have a few people who report issues. But in terms of reliability and performance it is really good. The GM 10L80 (and as a result, the 10L60 and 10L90) is based on the same design as the Ford 10R80.

Where's that thread about the 10-speed shifting rough? My buddy's 2019 with the 2.7L engine just started this, and since i'm trying to find what the fix was.
