A 1962 Ford F100 Unibody that’s Been in the Family 35 Years Hot Rod
The unibody pickup design unveiled in 1961 for Ford's F-Series was such an idea. The most obvious sign of its failure is how few years it was designed for. Ford's unibody trucks were only available from 1961-1963, and only on Ford's F-Series "styleside" pickups. The idea was to make the cab and the bed one long continuous piece.

It's a unique truck that represents something we'll probably never see again, at least in F-Series-guise. It might be cheaper to build and arguably better looking, but people simply don't want it.
