4787 posts · Joined 2005. #5 · Sep 2, 2012. Replace the synchro and synchro spring. Replace the interlock as well. Can't buy the synchro/spring alone from Honda. If you want a carbon-lined synchro 3-5 set is $155 shipped, 1-5 is $230 shipped. Springs aren't included.

s40 transmission LSD. Is it possible to put an aftermarket LSD in an s40 hydro tranny (out of a 97 EX D16Y8)? I am having a hell of a time finding info on this, and it seems even harder to find a d series tranny with an OEM LSD (starting to think they dont exist). I found an s40 pulled from an SI from Sunrise for $250 plus 200 shipping to FL.
