As it moved to the VFR800 model, Honda ended production of the VFR750 in 1997. Though that was the end of the road for the 750, it had had a good ride. Second chances make all the difference. In its eleven-year tenure, the Honda VFR750 not only managed to turn Honda's damaged reputation around and saved the company from an uncertain future.

I just bought a 1997 vfr 750 and the front end feels a little squishy, actually so does rear end.. Harshness is the biggest problem with the VFR800 forks and going with heavier fluid just makes that worse.. A much-improved spin-off of the VF700/750F models, the Honda VFR 750 was designed to resolve its predecessor's "chocolate camshaft" problems and help redeem the Japanese manufacturer's declining image. And boy, did the sportbike do so wonderfully! So much so that it has won Cycle World's Best Sportbike Award for six consecutive years.

After I bought it I got the carbs cleaned yet I still cannot get the bike to start, I believe the problem lies between the Gas tank and the fuel pump, when I attempt to crank it over gas won't come out of the line from the fuel pump to the carbs. Any suggestions? The local shop charges $130hr just to even look at it. Any help would do. thank you.

5 posts · Joined 2011. #1 · Apr 10, 2011. I recently picked up a 96 VFR 750f. I was told it would turn over but had bad gas in it. The battery was dead as well. I changed the fuel and sprayed carb cleaner in the carbs. I put about 2oz of seafoam in the tank with the new gas. I replaced the battery. When I tried to start it, I got a click.

350 Location: Adelaide, Australia Chaps - I am looking at adding another bike to the Big Katoomer - that is more road friendly. I am leaning towards a second hand (cheaper second bike) 1995-1999 VFR 750 or 750F. What was the difference and are there any big gotcha's to look for (expensive fix jobs).
