The stock power is comparable between the two, though the turbo comes with better torque numbers. I can tell you i have plenty of power when i put the pedal down.

With the newer 3.0t you can do simple tunes and a couple cheap mods and make over 400hp without breaking a sweat, but the reliability of their turbos are still questionable.
