The certificate is called "Zertifikat" and its from Mercedes Benz classic. Does this mean the vehicle was fully inspected by Mercedes to ensure numbers match and its factory.

In 1954, ercedes-Benz introduced the 300SL "Gullwing" (W198) to the world at the New York International Motor Sports Auto Show. Sharing the platform was its smaller sibling - the less flamboyant Type 190SL Roadster Protype (W121), hich would financially support Mercedes'halo carwith 8-times the units sold between 1955 - 1963.

The 190SL Group is an organization of 190SL owners dedicated to the preservation and restoration of the Mercedes Benz 190SL automobile. The Group was founded in August, 1983 by Ron Rapp and has grown to over 700 members. It publishes a bi-monthly newsletter, convenes an annual convention and sponsors other automotive events.
