Haven't really found a good way to feed hope yet early game other then the typical plant Grain/Silicon early. Grain -> Oil -> Fuel. Seems the Guardian Scenario encourages a technology rush similar to Military. You get thrown a lot of electronics/CPU's from dead bots to quickly throw up Turrets and pump out bots so you need to rush fuel.
